Self-Parking… Slippers!

Innovation always makes the difference…Now in Yokohama, Japan, where hospitality adopting new technology, offers not only the latest in hands-free, self-driving slippers but also equips the hotel rooms with self-parking tables and floor cushions.

What happened first, was that the introduced in the all-new Nissan LEAF in Japan in October 2017, ProPILOT Park detects surrounding objects and lets drivers automatically park the vehicle in a selected parking space by pressing a button.

Next, this technology was adopted by a Japanese inn. At first sight, the ProPILOT Park Ryokan looks like any other traditional Japanese inn, but nobody can imagine that inside the Japanese hotel mind-blowing self-parking furniture is available.

Slippers are neatly lined up at the foyer, where guests remove their shoes.

Tatami rooms are furnished with low tables and floor cushions for sitting.

The traditional Japanese hotel is located in Hakone Japan, is equipped with furniture (including self-parking slippers), which moves around autonomously, a TV is not excluded either.

All the mentioned amenities use Nissan’s ProPilot park autonomous parking technology.

The only thing left for you to do is just to: Push a Button!
